Access denied error with Acrobat Pro

I want to move my Acrobat Pro 8 progamme from one computer to another, but keep on getting an Access denied error. I have uninstalled the one from my old PC and now trying to get it to download onto my new PC. I have no issue with upgrading to a newer version, but do have an issue with purchasing a new copy. Any ideas?
