Accessibility - Table Cells after Autotagging Document

We have encountered an issue in recent weeks where after tagging table cells as TH and TD in word or in a PDF document,  all cells revert to TD after autotagging the document - and it won't let you amend either using the Table Editor function or on the Tags Tree. Anyone else encountered this issue? If so, is there a way to fix it? It seems as if the Autotag settings have changed recently as this didn't happen before.

@tracey_1013 Yes, other Acrobat users have encountered this issue. It appears to be a bug related to a recent update, specifically the cloud-based auto-tagging feature. When this feature is enabled, it can cause tables that were correctly tagged as <TH> (table header) to revert to <TD> (table data cell) after autotagging. The bug also prevents you from manually changing the tag type back.

Did you already try and fix this through your preferences?Keyboard shortcuts Command K (MAC) or Control K (PC) or in the menu, Go to Edit > Preferences (PC) or Acrobat > Preferences (Mac), then select Accessibility from the left-hand menu. In the Reading Order section, uncheck the box for Enable cloud-based auto-tagging for accessibility, and then click OK. After disabling this feature, try auto-tagging your document again. This should prevent the tags from reverting and allow you to make manual edits as needed.
