acrobat add-ins in excel, words and powerpoint the error is called run time error 55

Has anyone encountered issues with the 'SaveAsAdobePDF.xlam' and 'linkCreation.dotm' files causing errors in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word when using Adobe Acrobat? I've written a script to remove these files, but I'm curious if there's a known fix within Adobe Acrobat itself
