Acrobat adds an expansion arrow to Layers menu

Question

I am creating a multipage document that has layers from CAD drawings. I have set the layer panel to only show layers for that page but, Acrobat keeps adding in a Expansion toggle for the layers on each page. I really don't want to have this. NOTE: Each page I am working with is derived from it's own Acrobat document that has merged layers. How do I get rid of this expansion toggle? It will not let me delete it or work with it in anyway.

Could you share a file with us and a video recording showing what you have described? Also, let me know if this document was created by combining a PDF with the CAD drawing.

You can try flattening the document, but I believe that may not be something you don't want.
