Acrobat adobe DC - suddenly no index or page numbers for what I am reading

I am working and last night I went to bed an all was normal today I woke up and cannot find the page numbers for the book or find the book's index. I need to access both to do the work I am doing and no idea how to find it! HELP ASAP!!! I tried chatting but it claims support isn't available.

Might be the new UI Adobe decided to enforce on us. You can disable it via the "Hamburger" menu (top left corner of the window), then click on Disable New Acrobat.
