Acrobat always placing the cursor when file is opened

I saw this behavioir on another computer and assumed it was a user preference, but now it's started happening on my computer and I can't stand it, but can't find a preference that might turn it off.

Every time I open a file acrobat placing the curosor in a text line somewhere on the page. So if I open a file and hit the end key instead of going to the end of the document the cursor moves to the end of the line it's in!!

Is there a preference that somehow got turned on that I can turn off again?

Thank you,

Ken

Hi @KenWK

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. Please try the steps below and see if that works for you:

  • Go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) Preferences> Acessibility.
  • Uncheck "Always display the keyboard selection.
  • Then select the Hand Tool.
  • Close the program.
  • The Hand tool will now be the default

Let us know how it goes.
