Question

Acrobat Cloud - Search field does not search in the comments, only document itself

Mac OS Tahoe - Safari

So I have a collab Acrobat in the cloud (acrobat.adobe.com). The PDF has over 50k comments from different users.

I need to use the search field (Cmd F) or hit that magnifying glass at the top right, in order to find a specific comment. But the keyword search ONLY pulls up words from the PDF document itself, and not from all the comments.

How do I search in the comments?!

Hi SundayGladiator,

Thank you for reaching out.

The application's search field finds text only in the document; it does not find text in the comment.

If you need to search for text in a comment, you can use the search option in the comment window. Please check the screenshot below:

For more information on comments, please refer to the following help document: https://adobe.ly/4gCQCOG

Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,

I do see that field above the comments, but it only allows me to post comments. Not to use it as a search in comments. See my screenshot. Again, this is acrobat cloud UI I'm showing through adobe.acrobat.com.

Use the desktop version of the application.
