Hello @Jim,
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. Sorry for the trouble you had with the app.
Could you please share more details about the issue?
Is this Acrobat Pro, Acrobat Standard, or Acrobat Reader, and what is the full build shown under Menu > Help > About Acrobat?
Does Acrobat hang when printing only this PDF, or do other PDFs also cause the same behaviour?
Does the PDF come from a specific application/service, and does Document Properties show anything unusual about the file’s producer/creator?
Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 26.002.21869, Planned update, Aug 31, 2026. Check for any pending updates from Menu >Help > Check for updates, install any pending updates, restart the app, and the computer. And try again.
Please note that you do not need to run OCR to print the PDF. Try printing a different PDF. If other PDFs print normally, save this externally generated PDF to the laptop, not a network or removable drive, using Menu > File > Save As, give it a new name containing only letters and numbers, reopen that copy, and try again. Please check this article for more details: https://adobe.ly/4qW3wN0
Make sure to update the print drivers and firmware, along with the operating system. Download and install all mandatory and optional updates related to the operating system, printer drivers, and firmware.
If the Print dialogue opens, try Print as Image. Select Print this file > Advanced > Print as Image > OK > Print. Adobe recommends this when a PDF contains images, fonts, or other content that Acrobat cannot process normally during printing. Output may look slightly less sharp. I hope this helps, and please try the suggestions. Reach out if you experience any issues or need any assistance.
Regards,
Anand Sri.
