Acrobat crashes windows can not find acrodist

Since the last update, acrobat crashes 10 seconds after opening. This happens when I open a pdf but also when I open the application itself.

At this website I found the solution quide: Resolve acrobat DC crashes on windows. I have win 10. I tried the first 3 solutions but it didn't help. Solution four says: launch distiller DC and check if acrobat DC is activated. But when I open the run command window and type acrodist (as I should according to the quide) Windows says: can not find acrodist.

What can I do know? Before the update everything worked fine.

Hi Ehv,

Sorry for the trouble caused.

Try once to recreate the application preferences.

Take help of the steps mentioned here How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default. 

Check if that helps.

Could you please confirm the current version of the application?

Thank you for your reply.

I tried to start with step 1: how to reset to default. But there are 2 problems: 1: in the folder you describe is no folder preferences.

I will show you the printscreen below: I get there by: C: users/ My name/ AppData/ Roaming/ Adobe/ Acrobat.

Then I see both version 11 and DC. See below. When I choose DC (latest version) I get the print screen where, according to your mail there should folder called preferences but there is none. See other printscreen. What do I do now?

The other problem is: should there still be version 11 in Appdata? Is that how it should be?
