Acrobat Crashing

I am having some issues with Acrobat when opening PDF files. 

The program opens but then this grey box opens up like its loading something but it never finishes and then the circle does not spin. When I try to click something I can only hear the denied sound effect Windows makes. 

The only way to close the program is by ending the task in the task manager. 

I have tried to reinstall but the issue still happens.
