Acrobat Date field features and Bluebeam

Question: Our team uses both Acrobat and Bluebeam. Forms we create in Acrobat are generally useful when opened in Bluebeam; e.g., Text fields and drop-down lists function just fine in Bluebeam. 

The Date field does not function the same way in Bluebeam as it does in Acrobat. In Bluebeam we cannot select a date from the drop-down calendar; we can only enter a date manually.

In Bluebeam the Date field is still restricted to just adding dates in the date format created in Acrobat, however. For example, we cannot enter 10/9/25 in the field in Bluebeam if it was formatted in Acrobat as mmmm d, yyyy, which would be October 9, 2025. If we attempt to enter in the m/d/yy format we get an error banner. 

Here's the question: is there something else I need to do to the Acrobat date field to make it cross-functional in Bluebeam?
