Question

Acrobat DC 2% free rotation

I publish scans of public domain music. I use Acrobat X all the time in my work, and cannot use Acrobat DC because the automatic deskew in DC is tied to text, and the manual deskew has a minimum rotation of 2%, much too large for deskewing. I'm writing a book about music score preservation and would recommend Acrobat X for use with this, but will need to tell people not to even try the cheaper, easier to get Acrobat DC because of this deskew problem. I don't see any other solution to this besides asking Adobe to make the free rotation tool a lot more precise. Any comments on other ways to do this, or ways to actually contact Adobe about this?

I've developed a tool that allows you to deskew pages in a PDF file, without anything to do with the Text Recognition function.
You can find it here: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Deskew PDF Pages

Cool! I'm going to see if I can get my IT dept. to install it on my desktop (they've done things like this for me in the past) and check it out. If it works with Acrobat DC for me, I'll definitely let other libraries and music reprinters know about it!
