Question

Acrobat DC Automatic Archival in Outlook 2010 Fails to convert after 247 items

Windows 8.1

Outlook 2010

Acrobat DC ver. 15.006.30279

I have a number of users who are in the process of cleaning up public folders in Outlook 2010. They are using the Automatic Archival tool available from the Adobe PDF addin in Outlook.

They are able to set up the archive, but when the process is running it only gets to 247 items and then the rest bring up the "item failed to convert" error.

I have done some research and I think this issue was present in Acrobat X. Is this a known issue in Acrobat DC? Are there any workarounds?

Anyone? I'd like to know if this is a known issue and if there's a workaround or fix available.

Hi Jamesc,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Acrobat, the version detail you shared of Acrobat Pro Classic 15.006.30279 is old, the latest version of Acrobat Pro Classic Track is 15.006.30493. Please install the latest patch of Acrobat from help menu>select check for updates.

Reboot the machine and check. You may install the updates manually from DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Let us know if you experience any issue.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Unfortunately it's not possible for me to install updates as I'm working on an enterprise environment that follows a change process.
