Acrobat DC Closing After a Few Seconds

Hi there,

Yesterday I updated Acrobat DC in Adobe CC, using Windows 10, and since then each time I open a PDF the app closes after a few seconds - no error message, it just disappears. I have tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling, re-accepting the T&Cs using eula.exe and deleting the SLStore folder in ProgramData\Adobe but the problem persists. It's driving me nuts and I have a heap of work to do!

Can anyone suggest any other fixes for the problem?

Thanks.

Hi andrewp,

As mentioned above, Acrobat closes after running for few seconds, could you try rebooting the machine once if you haven't already and try launching Acrobat again? Does that help?

If not, try launching Acrobat as an administrator using the steps given here and check- Run an Adobe program as administrator | Windows 7, Vista

Does Acrobat close when launching the application or when trying to view a pdf file using the application?

Also, please confirm the version of Acrobat running on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link for the same: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Thanks,

-Shivam
