Acrobat DC crashes MacOS Mojave and Catalina

Hello Everyone,

we work with Adobe Acrobat DC to edit some price tags. The Problem is, that the Software crashes when it starts sometimes. When we try to open a PDF, it doesn't react and we have to close it immediately. So sometimes the only way to open it is via File -> Open, but then it doesn't react. The fields are not displayed and load very slowly if they do. When we try to open the PDF directly, it crashes too. We use the newest Version of Acrobat DC and the macOS Version of Mojave 10.14.6 and Catalina 10.15.1 and 10.15.2.

I look forward to any help, so we can work without problems.

Hey there

Please create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204012) and check for the issue.

If it's working fine there, you may need to check the user profile settings. if it still doesn't work please ask your IT admin to get in touch with our assisted support using the link (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/contact.html) Click on the dots in the lower right corner to start.

Hi there,

the problem is solved. The Acrobat DC starts properly again and the PDF files can be opened. We do not know why and how this was solved.

Hi Julian Hahn

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the application crashes

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try to open a different PDF file and check.

If it's a file specific issue, please share the file with us for testing. Upload the file to the document cloud (https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/) generate the link and share the link.

Hello,

its a problem with all PDF-files. We also cannot send you PDF files with our data. But the problem also arises with an empty PDF file. We create the packages via your admin console, the Macs are not allowed to download directly. We also used the variant via the Creative Cloud. The other programs from the CC work without problems. We also did the steps with the Cleaner.

What version exactly please (not "newest" or "up to date", thank you)?

January 30, 2020

Version 19.021.20058, the newest Version over Creative Cloud.

We also completely reinstall a Mac and install the Acrobat DC on it. We will then see the result.

Sorry, i mean Version 19.021.20061.
