Acrobat DC crashes when splitting files

Generated files (Indesign/XMPie) must be split into 1000 or 5000 record segments. Acrobat generates and saves first split and then crashes (both MAC and PC platforms) during save of the second file. I am having to organize pages and then manually delete. Open to any thoughts or suggestions...

I'm having the same exact problem. I'm trying to split a large PDF and it crashes after the second part is generated, no matter what setting I have. These are 70-80mb large format PDFs that because of technology constraints I have to split up and email.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

We made certain stability and performance enhancements in the subsequent releases.

Would you mind updating the app to the latest version (2024.005.20xxx) and let us know if the issue is fixed for you?

If not, please help us gather the logs from your machine: https://adobe.ly/4hKMM5O. Please make sure Procmon is selected. You can upload logs using this tool and share your Unique log ID with us.

Hi iand48863416

Thanks for reporting the issue. Can you please share the following details so that we can investigate it at our end:

  1. Exact Acrobat version that you are using
  2. Is this happening on a single file or multiple files.
  3. If possible, please share a sample file with us where this issue is reproducible.

Regards,

Hello Priyanka,

version

2020.013.20064

the problem persists for most files with more than 10,000 records (2 splits).

Due to the privacy issues related to our product and size constraints, I will have to make a vanilla file to submit. I'll try to post a little later.
