Sorry, if this has been already covered. I used Acrobat X for years and had no issues exporting complex PDFs to txt files which I run through another process to import. I thought upgrading to Acrobat DC would be an improvement on the OCR capabilities. Since I've upgraded to DC, none of my PDFs export correctly at all. Even some of the more simpler ones. I tried working with Support via chat and all he had to say was this is how it is. This worked fine in X but not in DC so it leads me to think I have something setup wrong (which Adobe support didn't catch) or this is a bad bug as the OCR in DC is almost useless for my purposes. If anyone has any tips or can help, it is so appreciated. Thank you

If Acrobat DC is no longer doing what Acrobat X used to do (it would be interesting to see how Acrobat XI performed with this task), I would consider this a bug. You can file a bug report here: Feature Request/Bug Report Form - make sure you provide all the relevant information. Unfortunately, you cannot attach files to a bug report, but you can share a file by e.g. uploading it to Adobe's Document Cloud and then sharing a link to it (instructions about how to do that are here: Share Documents via Adobe's Document Cloud - KHKonsulting LLC )

Based on your description, it's not clear what exactly the problem is. Would you be able to share a sample document and instructions about how to observe the problem with us?

Thank you. It seems like a bug to me also but not really sure.

This is a partial export from Acrobat X which worked.

The first line that even looks normal is line 134. Missing all the information before and most of the information after. I canshow simpler examples if it helps as this is a complex PDF
