Acrobat DC freezes on mac

Dear all,

Accrobat DC keeps freezing. It is very slow to launch and, once opened, it freezes as soon as I try to work on a pdf (I tried with several files), for instance when highlighting a sentence or simply scrolling. The app is up to date.
