Question

Acrobat DC iEntitlementLevel not applying properly

I have been trying to troubleshoot this problem for a while and I was hoping someone could help. I am an IT Support Person for my organization and my client has purchased a license for Adobe Acrobat DC (I believe the license is for Pro). When she launches "Adobe Acrobat DC" from Start Menu, it opens a window named "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC".

Adobe Creative Cloud is installed and seems to work properly. I used this appendix (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/identify.html) to find this anomoly with registry key:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVEntitlement\iEntitlementLevel is set to 1.

For another user, whose Acrobat DC works properly, the iEntitlementLevel is set to 300. What is the proper method to ensure that my client is able to utilize the software that she purchased? I have tried running a repair on Acrobat DC and rebooted. What else can I try?

Hi @kelvinv62098480,

Hope you are doing well, and sorry to hear about your issue with Acrobat.

Per the description, if your entitlement is for Acrobat Pro DC, you would need to change the value of entitlement level to 300.

You may click the link for reference: Appendix A: Identifying Installs — Deployment Planning and Configuration

The values and other identification factors is mentioned in the first paragraph of the link.

I still wasn't able to launch Adobe Acrobat Pro by setting the registry key to 300. I didn't have enough time to keep troubleshooting the issue, so I ended up replacing the computer.
