It load so slowly when opening attachments from Outlook. Sometimes (not responding) comes up for a few seconds.

I am running a rather new Windows unit.

I have cleaned, updated, reinstalled and still it is sooooo slow.

Guys, I will do Adobe job for them. I have found that it stalls, freezes and goes non responsive when I am LOGGED in. When I log out I never have an issue.

Unfortunately, signing out is not an option, as it deactivates all Adobe applications together, and that won't work here.

Does anyone know of a PDF editor/reader to replace this with.

I am tired of them sending me emails to do a Dump over and over again, which does not work, but if they would just read the forums and the internet they would see it non responds for second ALL the time.

I don't know about PC, but on the Mac, there's the native Preview app. I'm sure it's not as full-featured, and I honestly don't know if you can truly EDIT a PDF with it, as I've never tried. It does load PDF files blazingly fast, though.

There is no apparent fix about this - it is all over the web.

I'm having the same issues with the latest version, running on a Mac (macOS Mojave 10.14.3).

Even just opening the application causes it to temporarily "freeze" up, let alone when opening a PDF file.

Hi Mikemwb,

Sorry for the trouble caused.

As the application is working slow, please try the troubleshooting steps provided here Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows

Check if that helps.

Also, please make sure that the application is updated to the latest version available.

Launch the application and go to Help > Check for updates.

Let us know if the issue persists.

Regards,

Meenakshi

When Acrobat freezes or enters a not responding state; Go to task manager-> "details tab" -> right click on the process Acrobat.exe -> create dump file.

Please share the dump in a shared drive|dropbox.

Also, please provide the following information:

  • Version of Acrobat installed

Thanks and Regards,

I assume they know the issue since they have failed to even acknowledge my issue for the past 5 days. Does anyone one a good alternative PDF editor/reader I can use to get rid of Acrobat DC?
