Acrobat DC keeps crashing

I've installed Acrobat DC successfully on a colleague's machine. However, when she goes to open, close or edit a pdf, periodically the program hangs up and spins for several minutes. Eventually, there is a non-responsive windows error that pops up and I'm able to close the application. This does not happen all the time, but about once every hour. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried rebooting.

Is there an application to completely remove the product from registry so I can try installing again? Any suggestions?

Hi Daniell,

As per the description above, the Acrobat DC is crashing, Is that correct?

Please try the troubleshooting steps from the following link: Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows assuming you are using a Windows computer.

If this does not help , please share the following details:

  • Please confirm the version of Acrobat installed on your computer?

To check the version of Acrobat, launch Acrobat>navigate to Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat.

  • Which operating system do you have- Windows/Mac?

Keep us posted with the results.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
