For a while now Acrobat DC Pro is sluggish / stops / not responding / need to close (“not responding”)

I repaired … re-installed … updated … turned off Protection Mode in preferences … sometimes can’t even scroll down to security in preferences … ????

Can’t find any other hints online.

Nothing helps

Any suggestions, please!!

Thanks

    Hello @Klaus5F8D,

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had with the app.

Assuming you are already on the latest build of Acrobat version 26.001.21563. Planned update, May 18, 2026, it is still crashing and freezing. Are you on a Windows or Mac machine, and what is the version? Is it a personal machine or an IT-managed computer?

For testing purposes, please create a test user profile with full admin rights, install Acrobat, and check the app performance.

If the issue persists, please collect the logs from the affected machine and share them with us for further investigation. To collect the logs, please refer to this article: https://adobe.ly/4dMCDom

Let us know how it goes, and share your observations.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.

    Thanks for the response, Anand.

    • Yes-latest version …  Acrobat and everything CC.
    • Windows11 Pro,  25H2, 26200.8524, Intel i9, 32 GB Ram, Nvidia GeForce4070, all SSDs
    • personal machine
    • create test user profile ?????
    • Adobe crash report … have to wait until it happens again

Often Acrobat does not even open (gray, not responding)

Sometimes a command works but only after several seconds waiting

I’ll send Adobe crash report as soon as I see the window for that

    Thanks for now
