Any time I choose "Edit Text And Images" now, Adobe sends me to the "Free Trial" or Sign up for a Subscription" Page. No explanation is given. Also, when I click on 'Edit PDF' a pop up box tells me I am currently using the free Adobe Reader. But when I go to my Apple Menu, it clearly shows that I am running Adobe Acrobat DC. Plus I am signed in. I have no idea what to do. I was working on the document all morning with no problems and the program just quit. My subscription is paid until the end of June. I am signed in on both the application and on the website. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Don,

This is because you have Acrobat Reader not Acrobat or Acrobat Pro. This is why Acrobat Reader is free.

FWIW, I feel that Adobe's display of all of the tools of the Pro version in the Reader version an evil bait and switch. But, in reality, that's what it is. But the truth is, if you want to have the full power, you need to pay for it.

Sorry and good luck.

Gary - Thanks for the response and the input. But maye you missed this part of my statement:  "My subscription is paid until the end of June. I am signed in on both the application and on the website."  I have paid $13 per month for the last 2 years.  Thanks for trying though.

Wow! Don! You are absolutely correct. I did completely miss what was written right there. I read the first two sentences and just went from there. In my defence, I've seen several of these lately so I just went on the assumption that this was "just another one."

OK. Can we try this: please log out and log back in. Maybe to a reboot in between just to make sure you've cleared any caches or something else that needs to be nudged.

Again sorry for screwing up there. Big apologies.
