Acrobat DC Standard 2015 Stopped Recognizing Text

I had no problem recognizing text in scanned documents until I just installed an HP OfficeJet 9025 printer.  Now none of my scanned files (even from my old printer) will recognize text.  I have another computer with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC 2015 where I have not installed the printer.  When I copy the files that won't recognize text on my first computer, it will recognize text in the same scanned file.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Acrobat Standard DC 2015.  I even tried Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and it says it cannot recognize text because it cannot find Paper Capture (yet, I can see it in the Program file section).  Help ....

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you are getting the error: cannot recognize text because it cannot find Paper Capture. Are you working on a Windows machine? If yes, please refer to the steps provided in the help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/acrobat-could-access-recognition-service.html) and see if that works.

Also, you may refer to a similar discussion (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/acrobat-standard-dc-quot-unable-to-locate-the-paper-capture-r...) and see if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks
Amal
