Acrobat DC thinks it is Acrobat Pro, prints to pdf once, then error. Select to fix installation works for pdf creation one more time, then error message

Use acrobat pro at office, files created in that environment. Use acrobat DC at home. pdf conversion, as in printing works correctly the first time used in any work session, then indicates an error. When I use acrobat to repair the installation, it will work correctly once again, but only one more time. Repair installation can be done as many times as necessary but is an inefficient way to use acrobat. Any idea of the cause or fix?
