Acrobat DC unable to print in MS Outlook Office 365 on Windows 10

Last night, I downloaded updates to Windows 10 (not sure exactly what - did it while I was sleeping).

This morning, I couldn't print any emails (Outlook MS Office 365) via Adobe PDF printer (I have Adobe DC).  Everything was working fine before the update.

Could print MS Word (MS Office 365) to Adobe PDF.

Under device settings, I set Acrobat PDF writer as default printer AND under printing preferences, I checked the box "Ask to Replace Existing PDF File"

Now, I CAN print my emails via Adobe PDF printer.

Bizarre

When printing to pdf from Outlook 2 select MICROSOFT PRNT TO PDF as your printer.  DO Not choose the Adobe PDF selection, it does not produce your copy.  Thanks

On behalf of Adobe …

There is a known problem in the most recent Patch Tuesday update to Windows 10 that seems to corrupt the Adobe PDF PostScript Printer driver instance. Stay tuned for more information for fixing this. It is absolutely not caused by Acrobat and cannot be fixed simply by applying the latest Acrobat update!

Please stay tuned to this thread …

Was there a fix for this? Having the issue now.

Hi Cristina,

Thank you for reaching out.

As you experience the issue in printing emails from Outlook, could you please provide more details about it?

- Did you make any recent changes after which it started?

- Share the Outlook and Acrobat version on the machine.

- OS version on the machine

- What happens when you try to print to PDF? Do you get any error messages?

We will be waiting for your response.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Irenew,

Please try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Reboot the machine if you haven't already and try again.

2- Check if an update is available for Acrobat using "check for updates" option under Help menu. You may also download updates manually using this link: Adobe - Acrobat : For Windows , reboot the machine after installing update and check.

3- If that doesn't work, repair MS Outlook and check: Repair an Office application - Office Support

Let us know how it goes.
