Acrobat Filling Installer Folder

We're having this issue pop up among random users where the C:\Windows\Installer folder is filling up with tons of .msp files that belong to Adobe Acrobat at about 1GB each. This one machine I am currently looking at has over 300 of these files. Is there a reason as to why this is happening? We've been able to make a script to clean this up per user but the issue comes back sometimes for them.

Can I please get an answer from Adobe as I've seen some people online having the same issue.

Hi @35626516,

Thanks for reaching out.
How are you deploying updates for users in the environment? Are users allowed to install app updates, especially Acrobat, in this case? Also, what is the current version of Acrobat or Reader installed on those machines?

I look forward to receiving this information.

Good morning!

I see two machines each running a version 24 of Acrobat

24.002.20933

24.003.20112

We do normally set the Adobe package to allow users to update products on their own and we rely on remote update manager (RUM) to get triggered and run updates on products.

Hi @35626516,

You are far behind the current available version.

Even if we escalate this case, you need to update to the latest version first. You can use this link to check the current version available: https://adobe.ly/4iJydRp

You can install the latest patch on a couple of machines for testing purposes and check if the issue is reproducible.
