Acrobat for Apple Silicon release schedule?

Hello folks,

Is there any news regarding the Apple Silicon native version of Acrobat?

I'm aware that Acrobat can run on Intel via Rosetta, however I expect a native Apple Silion version would perform more smoothly.

In addition, I note that there a few Adobe CC tasks running in the background that are still Intel - presumably these will be ported to Apple Silicon in the future, also?

There's no accouncement. Presumably Adobe will do this one day, possibly at the last minute (i.e. just in time for some future macOS that doesn't allow Rosetta). And it's my experience that hoping problems will go away if you can only get a new architecture (64-bit, ARM, ...) is rarely what happens. Better to report the specific problems you currently have in detail.

I've been wasting time looking into this as well. I just bought a Macbook Air M2 and it needs Rosetta to install it then you can go into the settings and add native support. Seems strange that it needs Rosetta just to install it if it is natively supported.

Then I found an easier solution. #1 - Apple's Preview can read PDFs and do much of what Acrobat can do. It's free and is already installed on the Mac. Just uninstall Acrobat (AppCleaner is a great free tool). After I did that, Preview was the default app to open the pdf. It's lightning fast, no slow open and no ads to upgrade. #2 - Drag the PDF into a Chrome browser. It also lets you read pdfs.
