Question

Acrobat Form will send emails with XML's attached but not PDF's

Created a form in LiveCycle Designer that utilizes email submit buttons and regular buttons set up to send PDF to email. In BOTH cases, when the button is clicked, Adobe reader will not pull up the default email configured and send. If I configure to send the XML (default) it works as expected. If I configure to send a PDF, the dialogue box asking what email application to use never appears- it looks like the button functionality is broken.

HELP!

Hi johna,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when trying to send pdf forms( to an email address) in Acrobat, is that correct?

Would it be possible to share the pdf form you are working with to replicate the issue at our end? To share the file here in the forums, refer to the steps given in this link: How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud

You may also share the link for the pdf via private message - How Do I Send Private Message

Also, let us know dot version of Acrobat and the operating system installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Let us know if you need any help.
