Acrobat gone missing from my printers and devices

I have Acrobat DC (full version) and Windows 8.1.  Last night Acrobat disappeared from my list of printers so I can no longer create a pdf by using the print command.  I have tried repairing Acrobat and I have reinstalled it.  Neither option has worked.  There was a Windows update yesterday and maybe that has messed things up.  Does anyone have any ideas of what I should try next?  Many thanks

Hi felicityw78488152,

Try the steps given below and see if that resolves the issue:

Check if there is an update available for Acrobat, launch Acrobat>Help menu>Check for Updates.

If that doesn't work, try the steps given at Solution# 3 in the following link:

Acrobat: PDF Printer missing after installation on Windows 64-Bit

Also, confirm if you are able to see "Adobe PDF" under Devices and Printers.

Hold down the Windows key and press R on your keyboard.

Type control printers and hit enter.

And, what is the version of Acrobat DC installed on your machine?

Thank you for this.  Solution #3 worked just fine - I had tried something very similar as I had found instructions for manually installing Acrobat as a printer elsewhere but those instructions did not warn about the multiple Adobe pdf print converter files and thus I failed at that stage.

What is odd is that I did lots of searches for help on my missing Adobe print converter and failed to find the thread that you directed me to.

It is such a relief to have the print facility back.
