Question

Acrobat is crashing and creating multiple processes, requiring all to be shut down before it reopens.

On multiple different computers I have had the same issue in Acrobat where it has been working fine, and then all of a sudden it won’t open any more. When I check in Task Manager, I can see multiple processes sat. It has happened so many times I have created a .bat file that runs “taskkill /f /im acrobat.exe", which shuts all instances at once.

I have tried on different machines and, after a while, get the same result. I have tried different PDFs. I have also reinstalled Acrobat on one machine, but after a few days the issue occurs again.

This is also happening on multiple computers in our office.  Originally it was only happening on one and I thought it might just be that computer so a couple days ago I uninstalled and reinstalled the app., this helped but only for a couple days as again today it started happening where after opening PDF suddenly it won’t launch and I have to go to task manager to close out multiple processes.

It is now also happening on 2 other computers in our office.

    Hi,

Thank you, I have tried to follow the guide to collect the logs however I don’t have a Troubleshoot Acrobat button under help and when in settings and general their is no option to enable the troubleshooting in the general settings tab.
