Acrobat is renaming inserted pages

When I drag or insert a pdf file or a tif into a multi-page PDF the inserted page is renamed with the name of the page to its left. This only started happening today. Restarts have not helped. I need the individual pages to have their correct name and it seems impossible to rename the page when inserted.

How can I keep the original filename?
