Acrobat is supposed to be free

Adobe Acrobat is supposed to be free, but there is a trial period, and then I will get charged for the product.  Is acrobat free or not?  Saying it is free and then charging for it seems to me to be false advertising.  Please respond.

You're mixing up two products. One is free and always has been. The other one is not and never has been.

"Adobe Acrobat" has always, always been a paid for product. If someone told you it was free, they were confused.

Adobe Acrobat is not free. Acrobat Reader is free.
