Acrobat Lag Time with Text Edit (Mac 2023 version)

There is a horribly long lag time with Text Callout or Text box text editing in Acrobat PDF's.  I can see the text when first typing in the Callout or Box but any subsequent corrections or adds to the text box don't show a cursor and dont show text changes until I have clicked out of the box. (Most oft he time re-typing starts randomly so there are alwasy spelling errors that have to be redone).

Has anyone else experienced this?  It started when I upgraded my Mac system to Ventura.  

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat several times, reset all tools, reduced all added features of Acrobat (so many unnecessry adds)

Using Acrobat 2023, Mac.

Looking for a fix since this almost makes Acrobat un-usable.

Any recommendations for other PDF programs?
