I recently reformated my harddrive and reinstalled Windows 11 Pro. After reinstalling Adobe Acrobat 2020 the Acrobat Licensing Applicaitona keeps asking me to Sign in. It accepts my log it. But then asks again. I've tried uninstallin adobe and even using the AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2021. Any suggestions?

Jeff

Hello Jeff!

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response.

I am following up to check if you have tried the suggestions shared by our community product expert.

If you are still experiencing the issues, you may try resetting Adobe Licensing Credentials. Close Acrobat and open File Explorer. Navigate to: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore. Delete all files inside this folder.

Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLCache. Delete all files inside this folder. Restart your computer and try signing in again.

You may also refer to this article and try the suggestions: https://adobe.ly/421aA08

Since you've already used AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2021, ensure you do the following before reinstalling:

  1. Uninstall Acrobat 2020 from Control Panel > Programs & Features.

  2. Run AdobeAcroCleaner again and restart your PC.

  3. Download and reinstall Acrobat 2020.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

@aksfhaou olfgahfgp  Even though you may have reformatted the hard drive, the actual data of the files might still reside on the hard drive until it's overwritten by new data. Software licensing systems, like Adobe's, can sometimes even store information in locations that are not consistently cleared by a standard format. This can lead to conflicts or residual licensing issues after a reinstallation. In your case, I would use Adobe Cleaner from Adobe's website to clean all that up. I would use Adobe Cleaner from adobe website versus using any third party cleaner. Adobe Cleaner helps remove old Adobe software, cleaning corrupt installation files, and fixing your host files to establish a connection with Adobe servers. https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Then log back into adobe.com and install the Acrobat 2020. And it should work great soon after!
