Acrobat missing fonts

My company has several users who are receiving the below error when opening certain .pdf files with Acrobat. The odd part is, this only happens when they are not working in the office. When working remotely, on or off the VPN.

Welcome to the forums! We’re happy you reached out. A few things can cause PDFs to error only when you’re outside the office:

  • Acrobat license/activation checks

  • Linked assets or dynamic content that need internet access

  • Digital signatures/certificate verification

A few thing to trys: make sure Acrobat is updated, save the PDF locally and open it offline, and check if your machine can access certificate servers.  If it still happens, report the problem with your Acrobat version, the PDF example, and whether VPN is on or off.  Hope this helps!
