Question

Acrobat no longer lets me copy and paste

I've created a form and had lots of issues with it. There are now a couple of 'ghost fields' on one page which having searched on here means the PDF is corrupted, so I need to start all over again. I had a previous version of the document and I'm trying to copy the uncorrupted field pages into this document. It worked twice, but now it's ignoring my 'paste' request. I have no idea why. I haven't done anything different.

Any ideas why please? I am starting to lose my mind with this thing! Thank you.

Thanks - I know I have to start over, which I am doing - but I don't understand why, suddenly, I can't paste copied fields into a back-up document. If I can't do this, I will have to start from scratch. This has taken days and days of work and I'm still only on page 13 out of 46.

Although this may explain why when I try to create duplicates sometimes I'm told there's a field which already has a duplicate of itself in the document SOMEWHERE. Even though Acrobat has renamed these fields automatically.
