Acrobat on MACBOOK PRO WILL NOT RESIZE HORIZONTALLY PAST A LIMIT

MACBOOK MACOS SEQUOIA 15.61.1
APPLE M3 MAX Processor

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Acrobat from my current subscription and cannot resize the window horizontally past a limit.  It stops resizing and places an outward arrow in the movement screen.

I have a 57" Odyssey monitor, and as narrow as it can go is in 1/3 of the whole screen.

This issue has arisen in the past few days.

Any help would be great.

I have the exact same problem on Windows.

I've tried unistalling, re-installing, clearing cache and temp files. Nothing works...

I'm having the exact same issue and it just started a few days ago.  Other open windows also have a limit but their limits are much more narrow, like at least 50% more narrow than what is allowed with the Acrobat window.

@DR_REICHENBERGER first of all, holy molly 57" monitor?! Dang! In lieu wht @Meenakshi Negi has suggested, may I suggest adjust your 'Always Use Zoom Setting' in your Acrobt preferences. Mine is turned off because I have a 27" monitor.

If you want to go full screen mode quickly, did you try the keyboard shortcut, Command L? This should force the window to go full screen and then, hit Command L to go back to a resizable window, often resolving the problem. Kinda clears the last used window use.

I saw it somewhere where simply clicking on the "Home" tab in Acrobat, then selecting "Starred" instead of "Recent," and finally clicking back to your open document can fix the resizing issue. It seems to be related to a sync issue with the Adobe Cloud services.

Hopefully, this helps a bit?!

thank you.  I tried both and found my zoom is off and the other method did not work. Thanks for the input.

Hi DR_REICHENBERGER

Thank you for reaching out and reporting this.

Could you please share the screen recording showing what happens when you try to resize the application window? Also, please share the current Acrobat and OS version numbers that are in use.

Ensure that you are using the latest version of the application. In Acrobat, go to Menu > Help > Check for updates. For more information on the latest updates, please refer to the following help document: https://adobe.ly/3HwCnxY. See if that changes anything.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
