Hi there

++ Adding to the discussion

Please try to install the application is a new user test profile with full admin rights or enable the root account and check if the option is available there.

Also, could you please share the log file for further investigation. To collect the logs please use the steps here (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/collect-logs-crash-freeze.html)

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Hi,

Check the Adobe Acrobat permissions using this method:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491

Or

https://it.nmu.edu/docs/allowing-third-party-applications-install-macbook

It is also worth noting other tips here:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201732

See if the trash has acrobat files that need to be deleted. Empty the trash.

If that doesn't work, then you may want to try the following:

  • Uninstall / reinstall using the Adobe Acrobat and Reader Cleanup and Repair Tool
  • Using the CC Cleanup Tool
  • Resetting Acrobat preferences in mac. Search for this string in the following directory using this method:   ~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.plist

https://superuser.com/questions/1148352/how-to-reset-preferences-in-adobe-acrobat-reader-dc-on-mac

  • And recheck for traces of the old software using :
$ find ~/ -iname "*adobe*"
$ find / -iname "*adobe*"

This last method will delete all of the old Acrobat related entries and then be able to manually remove Acrobat completely as explained in the following useful link:
