Acrobat Pro (64 bit): sign, add text, etc. not working

I installed and activated Adobe Pro (64bit)  on a different Windows machine and I am unable to do most of the things I can do on my other Windows machine, e.g. sign, add text, etc. The buttons are there but nothing happens (the docs I am working with are NOT restricted from editing, etc.).

Not really... some problems are unique. Or some problems we have no idea.

Still no answer, neither from Adobe (I emailed support with same question and all I got back was the question "Do you have Acrobat DC Pro Subscription? or Perpetual License?" to which I replied "subscription" and heard nothing back since!) nor from the community...

 

I remain with a malfunctioning/inadequate subscription for my current PC whereas the software worked perfectly in my previous PC...
