Acrobat Pro Crashes seconds after opening PDF

It does not appear to matter where the PDF is opened from or what the contents are. A restart will temporarily relieve the issue, but it returns after just a few days. The user reported that this started "a few weeks ago". The only action that has been taken so far was deleting the Preferences folder in appdata/Roaming.

Version: Acrobat Pro 2024.002.20895

OSWindows 10 Pro v22H2

Windows Event Viewer:

  • Faulting module: ntdll.dll
  • Exception code: 0xc0000409
      and
  • Faulting module: MakeAccessible.api
  • Exception code: 0xc0000005
