Hi there!

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

As described, When editing a PDF in acrobat pro DC, you cannot edit it even if you select the text you want to edit and press "Edit Text" by right-clicking. If you can edit the text by selecting it again.

This behavior usually happens due to how Acrobat Pro DC processes editable content. When you right-click and choose "Edit Text", Acrobat enters Edit mode, but sometimes it doesn’t automatically activate the cursor on the selected text. Acrobat uses “text boxes” rather than treating the file like a Word document. Even if text appears visually in one line, it may be in a separate element internally. That’s why Acrobat sometimes needs a second click to know exactly which box you want to edit.

Unfortunately, there’s no built-in way to avoid reselecting the text entirely. However, here are a few tips that might help:

1. Use the Edit tool directly:
- Instead of right-clicking, try this:

- Go to the right-hand panel and click “Edit PDF.”

This will activate all editable text boxes, and you can click directly into the one you need — no need to reselect from scratch.

2. Double-click instead of right-click: When you’re in “Edit PDF” mode, double-clicking on text often places the cursor directly into the correct spot for editing.
