After making text edits and trying to save the PDF, I get an error message:  The document cannot be saved. There was an error reading this document (109).  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble. As described you are not able to Save te PDF and getting the error 109.

Chances are, if you are seeing error 109 when opening a PDF file, the file is corrupt. If you downloaded the file, try downloading it again. If you created the file yourself, try creating it again from the original source. That may be all you need to do to solve this problem.

On the other hand, there may be nothing wrong with the file itself, but your PDF reader may be having trouble, please try to update the application to the latest version 20.006.20042. Go to Help > Check for Updates

Also, please try the following preference settings and see if that works. Go to Edit (Windows), Adobe Acrobat DC (Mac) > Preferences > Internet > Uncheck 'Allow fast web view' >  Reboot the application and check again.
