Hi,

Same problem here! I was expecting Monteray solved it, but no, same problems.

A couple of month ago i spent 2 hours with adobe support messing around on my mac remotley.

They desinstalled, clended files, reisntalled. It worked OK for 1 day then returned.

Not to mention the fact that my fans go to the 2700RPM when opening PDFs qith architectural draws.

Texts tot much better.

The sad part is that im using Safari to view PDFs. They run smothely on safari, but laggy on Acrobat!

Agree completely - there are many alternatives on a PC, pity no-ones competing well yet on the Mac.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, Looking at architectural PDF (even small 1 page plans) and mac is prohibitively slow.

Would you mind sharing the version of  the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.07.20091 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Is this a behavior with a particular type of PDF files (Architectural) or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

Also, go to Adobe Acrobat > Preferences > Page Display > Uncheck , 'use page cache' > Click OK and reboot the computer once.

Regards

Amal

Version 2021.007.20091

I've deleted and reinstalled Adobe.

I've unticked the page cache.

It is still prohibitvely slow.  Some files are worse than others.  Text PDFs are fine.  It's more to do with pdfs with plans even if they have small file sizes.  It really us amzingly slow considering my computer should be more than capable.

This file is particularly bad (even if I Optimise the file size)
