Question

Acrobat Pro Freezing when trying to Share

Following this process:

Open a PDF → Use a Dynamic Stamp → Click the "Share" at the top right. Add a name and a brief message (2 to 10 words). Click Send or ok or whatever.  Adobe hangs at that point.

Does this after a fresh reboot. Does this every time now starting this week (9/22/2025).

Tried uninstall/reinstall of Adobe Pro and checked for updates.

Did a Repair Installation then another check for updates.

Tried going to %Appdata% and deleting Adobe folder and letting it rebuild.

Tried contacting support but they are TERRIBLE. told me repeated (3 different techs) to just reinstall it. NO HELP.

Hi Robc_Order66,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.

Please try the troubleshooting steps suggested in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/46H0cf7.

You can also try reinstalling the application using the steps suggested below:

-Remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://adobe.ly/4mvRUMM).
-Reboot the machine
-Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: https://adobe.ly/4pD1dgz.

If the issue still occurs, please collect the logs using the diagnostic tool and share the log ID.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

I've actually done most of all what is on this KB article.

Tried uninstall/reinstall of Adobe Pro and checked for updates

Did a Repair Installation then another check for updates.

The OS is current and all Microsoft Windows updates have been applied successfully.

The license is not invalid. The plan is current.

The only thing I have not done that is in this article:

Use the Adobe Cleaner Tool. I really do not want to uninstall again and reinstall as that is time-consuming.  This was a system that had multiple versions of Adobe Acrobat on it anyway. Why is the software so bloated that I have to use MORE software to get rid of software that should have been uninstalled with the uninstaller?

Hi Robc_Order66,

These are the basic troubleshooting steps. The cleaner tool ensures that the application is removed completely. Rebooting sometimes resolves this behaviour.

Could you please explain what you mean by "This was a system that had multiple versions of Adobe Acrobat on it "?

If these steps don't help, please collect the logs for the workflow and share the log ID. You can use the diagnostic tool to collect logs.

Please share the Acrobat and OS version numbers.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
