Acrobat Pro has lost tool memory

Since the updates of this summer, the default tool when launching Acrobat Pro is always the "black arrow" Selection tool which is active.

This was not the case before (I have been using Acrobat since version 3.5) and I would like to return to the old behavior because I have to re-select the Hand tool each time I open a document and that becomes painful.

Is this a bug or a new setting that I do not know?
