Acrobat Pro not Adobe Reader

Please could someone explain why my files keep opening in Acrobat (Reader) and not in Acrobat Pro.

I do have access to this, but then when I type in the app I cannot find it. I need to edit PDF's and it's impossible.

If you cannot find it, maybe it's not installed?

If it's installed, you should bei able to open it without opening any PDFs.

I have both installed and PDFs always open in the program I opened last.
