Acrobat Pro PDF preview in SAP is slow or crashes.

When you open a PDF without SAP, it takes 20-30 seconds to open the file in SAP.
Acrobat Pro version 2023.006.20320 64 bits.

Enhanced protection modes are disabled.

Do you have similar problems and ideas for solving them?

Thank you very much

After lengthy investigations in Acrobat Pro 2023 .006.203.20 64-bit and SAP Gui for Windows 7700.1.9.1161 and version 4 as well, I've come to the following conclusions.

Opening a PDF in SAP is handled by a browser: Internet Explorer (IE) or Edge.
Flow with IE: PDF execution => IE => Acrobat
Flow with Edge: PDF execution => Edge

Latency occurs in the IE flow.

To solve this problem, set the default "Browser Control" setting for Edge.
Note that during testing with SAP 8.00, the default setting is Edge. On versions 7.4 and 7.9, IE is set by default.

To set Edge as the default "Browser Control" :
1-Execute SAP Logon
2-Click on the top-left menu (or hamburger menu), then select Option. Pull down the " Interaction design " menu. In the "Control settings" section, select "Edge (Chronium-based)".
3-Connect to SAP.

Debug & solutions :

option 1: Edge configuration on SAP 7.4/7.9
option 2: upgrade to SAP 8.0 (Edge is natively configured by default)
