Question

Acrobat Pro / Use on Lenovo Notebook

I am paying for Acrobat Pro, but when I try to use it for editing Pdfs, I don't have access to full suite of editing tools (i.e. replace text, insert text, etc). Is this an issue with the gardware or software (or user!)?! I need this resolved urgently as I am unable to work without it. Please help!

Hi, @Nicola346308184iy0, this is not meant to sound simplistic, but are you USING Acrobat Pro?

Adobe has a sick joke around this that there is Acrobat Reader, Acrobat Standard (for PCs only), and Acrobat Pro. A quick look will verify that you are using Acrobat but it sometimes requires you to verify that you are using Acrobat Pro. Please look at the name of your application in the About Box, and verify which version you are using.

You'd be amazed at how many slip up on this.

Hi @gary_sc , thank you so much for reply. I can't see an 'About' bo, but the Overview tab shows me:

I used to use the software to mark up Pdfs when I was in-house, but since I got my own subscription I just have not been able to make it work 😕😕

I think the screenshot confirms I have the Pro version?

With thanks again,

Nicola

Ah, I think I see the problem. Look at the right side of the screenshot you showed me. It says that you canceled the plan.

What I think has happened is that you are using the subscription that you had when at work, but now that you are paying for it, the paid version has reverted to the Acrobat Reader version (with no editing capabilities). What you need to do is to log out of your ex-company's login code and into your own code. If you need help with this, contact Adobe's help to square this away so that you are accessing the correct version of what you are paying for.

The number for Adobe's call-in support is 800-833-6687

Good luck!

Oh, BTW, to verify which version you are using, it is normally irrelevant what the web says you are using, you need to look at the actual application itself. Fortunately, your screenshot shows that the version you are logged into is no longer viable.
