Acrobat Pro will not recognize text in image

Hello,

I am trying to edit the sectence at the bottom of the attached image and the Edit PDF will not recognize the text. I'd really like to edit this, so any suggestions on what to do would be incredible.

Thank you for including the image in question. My guess is that there's too much going around the text. Too many lines at odd angles (not parallel) and not enough text for Acrobat to focus in on as text.

One thought would be to take the image into Photoshop and add a mask layer with nothing in it but the text. Then process that layer, combine that layer over the original image, flatten it, and save it as a PDF. Yes, that is cumbersome, but I think that might be the only way.
